Next time I’m in Florida I’m definitely renting a luxury car! I mean, it is a vacation after all. And how many times do you get to drive a luxury car anyway? It’s true that there’s a lot of driving to be done down in Florida and next time I go, I plan to get my money’s worth. It’ll be worth the money to drive a comfortable and nice looking car while I’m down there. It’s also great to know that they’re actually pretty affordable. Now my only problem is finding which car I like most!

I never knew how affordable luxury cars are in Florida. I’m sure that if there is such a high demand and competition for these cars the cost would be fairly lower than otherwise. Also, knowing that I won’t be without AC while I’m in the hot, hot Florida sun is a definite plus. I don’t think I could go a day (especially in the dry heat) without air conditioning. When I go down to Florida toward the end of this summer I plan to visit several theme parks while I’m there and I don’t plan to be paying for a taxi the whole time. It’ll be great to have the ability to drive myself around comfortably in a great looking car.

Definitely worth getting a nicer car while on vacation – after all, isn’t a vacation supposed to be fun and all about pampering yourself?!? The chance to rent a luxury car is something I can’t wait to try on my next vacation to Orlando.

I grew up in Miami and left after attending college. But most of my family is still there so I travel back at least a couple times a year to see them. I usually try to fly on Southwest Airlines. They have a lot of flights to/from The Sunshine State and the fares are about as low as they get. When you buy your ticket online, you are given the option to also make car reservations. In my experience, you can often get a good deal by reserving the car in advance when you buy your ticket. Southwest offers cars from most of the major rental agencies. Sometimes they even offer vacation specials to Miami or Florida with hotel and car at super low prices. I have taken advantage of this before and got a free hotel and car for the same price that some carriers were selling just the air ticket for! Thanks for this helpful blog for Florida visitors!

I can really relate to the comment by the author, “Many retirees find that a luxury car can be a vacation in and of itself, allowing them to see the city and the countryside from air conditioned comfort.” When my wife and I were young, we did enjoy spending time on the beach and seeing all the sites while on vacation — and we did it all on foot like most people. But as we got older, I developed back problems and my wife’s knees began to give her trouble. Now, our mobility is less and we simply can’t walk around as much. But we still like to visit new places and explore. When we vacation now, we rent large luxury sedans — typically we try to get a Cadillac or Lincoln. The comfort is incredible, even when driving for long stretches at a time. Our days of squeezing into “econo-boxes” to save a few pennies is over. Vacations are to enjoy!

Nothing is finer than driving down the A1A from Delray to Lake Worth in a convertible on a fine summer day (or evening)! Lots of scenery plus plenty of places to shop and grab a bite to eat. Some fine ocean views along the way as well. If your visiting this area, spend a few extra dollars and get a convertible. You won’t regret it!

I didn't think of renting a luxury car, but that would be the perfect way to enjoy driving along the beach. I was surprised at how many options there are for high end rentals in the Miami area – thanks for the info!
